Mehdi Koukhiyan Transferred Into Prison

The South Azerbaijani political activist Mehdi Koukhiyan detained by the agents of the Malikan City Intelligence Department-Ettelaat on April 8, has been transferred to Malikan prison’s isolation ward.

Mehdi Koukhiyan went on a hunger strike on April 9 after being detained and stopped it after his transfer to the prison.

According to the activist’s relatives, Koukhiyan’s detention has been ordered by the Malakan’s MP Salman Khudadadi who is accused of raping and recently murdering Zahar Navidpour. Mehdi Koukhiyan assisted with popularizing Zahra’s matter in his telegram channel.

Mehdi Kukiyan has been repeatedly detained and suffered different pressures for the cultural and cultural rights of the Turkish nation.
