National Security Council Bans South Azerbaijani Media

The National Security Council of the occupying regime of iran has banned two South Azerbaijani media organs. According to the media release issued by “Yol Press” and “Achiq Yol”, the two South Azerbaijani journals have been shut down until further notice. No reason for the decision has been disclosed. The two journals were two of very few local journals in Azerbaijani Turkic since the language of over 40 million South Azerbaijanies is banned by the occupying regime of iran since 1946. Iranian Army under former Shah of iran subverted the Democratic Republic of Azerbaijan and its progressive National Government and annexed South Azerbaijan to current iran in December 1946.
