Ettelaat, Iran’s notorious intelligence agency arrested Siamak Mirzaei of Mughan, South Azerbaijan.
Mirzaei was picked up from his work place and transferred to the Ettelaat of Parsabad. He was, then, moved to Tehran’s Evin Prison for interrogation.
He was subjected to harsh and inhuman treatment while being arrested by Ettelaat forces. His personal belongings including his books and computers were seized.
Mirzaei who is an engineer by profession has been know for the Iranian intelligence agencies as he was once convicted of establishing unlawful group and “activities against Iran’s national security” and sentence to 2 years of prison.
It’s believed that Mr. Mirzaei will be facing similar charges. It is also feared that the Azerbaijani civil right activist is being subjected to harsh treatment and torture.
