The Islamic Revolutionary Tribunal of the City of Qoshachay( Miyandab)  has sentenced  5 South Azerbaijani  patriots to up to 9 months in prison for simply visiting a the gravestone  of  Khanali Mutiyi who was executed  by the Shah regime of Iran in 1946 due to his role in establishment of South Azerbaijan People`s Republic.  Dariyush Andalibian,  Habib Manafi,  Javad Sudber,  Mokhtar Ibrahimi, and Yusuf Mokhtari, pictured above, were arrested by Iran’s spy agency Ettelaat  on 12 December  of 2013 while attending in the Qoshachay’s burial ground.  12 December is the Statehood day in South Azerbaijan. The Azerbaijan Democratic Party  led by S. J. Pishevary established the Azerbaijan People’s Republic in 12 December 1945  which was overturned
a year later by Shah regime backed by Western Alliance.
