The Perishing Lake Urmia

One  the largest salt lakes in the world, the Lake Urmia, has been steadily shrinking  upon unintelligent construction of a causeway in the middle of the lake in 2007 alongside the central regime’s vacuous “irrigation projects”  which diverted all the the rivers that fed the Lake Urmia.

The following image presentation attempts to identify the main causes of  the Lake’s disappearance which has led to salt storms destroying the natural inhabitants in the region. The catastrophe  could force  up to 10 millions of the South Azerbaijanis to abandon their native land.
