Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Tribunal has convicted 7 South Azerbaijani soccer fans of “anti-state propaganda” and sentenced them to 7 months custodial punishment.
Jafar Rostami Rad, Ali Ahmadi, Ali Sarraf, Ali Seadati, Asgar Ibadzadeh, Kasra Davoudi, and Siamak Seifi were found guilty of “ethicist activities” which was described by the Islamic Prosecutor as demonstration of “ethicist” banners with “ethicist” slogans “the slogan recited: South Azerbaijan is not Iran” and raising of the flag of Azerbaijan during the soccer match between Aljazeera of EU and Tractor of Tabriz.
