Habib Sasanian Goes on a Hunger Strike

Habib Sasanian, also known as Yakamuz, the South Azerbaijani human rights activist has gone on strike in a protest to his arbitrary detention and unreasonable delay in deciding his matter.
He is being ” temporarily” held in prison for the last 12 months with no trial. He pledged not to stop his hunger strike until his matter is dealt with in an open court. He began his strike on April 3rd 2017.
Mr. Yakamuz is being accused of establishing a semi-armed group ” National Army of South Azerbaijan” to overthrow the Islamic Republic.
He is suffering from multiple illnesses as a result of torture he was subjected while being held in the Ettelaat solitary cells.
