According to local reports, Mojtaba Abdoli of Ucan/Bostanabad, South Azerbaijan was arrested while distributing Turkic books on International Mother Language Day on February 21.
Although the family of this Azerbaijani-Turkic activist has approached to the courts and security agencies since his arrest, they have not yet received a clear answer regarding his whereabouts and condition.
A few days ago, Iranian security officials arrested another Azerbaijani-Turkic activist, Mohammad Asad, for distributing Turkic books on International Mother Language Day in Maragheh.
