The activist’s family applied to the prison on May 1st to deliver Mr. Ismailzade’s heart and stomach medicines. However, the prison management under the pressure of intelligence agency- Ettelaat has refused to accept and allow in the medications. The activist was arrested on April 17 and transferred to the Central Prison of Tabriz to serve the 6-month prison sentence.

Mr. Karim Ismayilzadeh, AKA Karim the Boxor has been suffering from serious heart disease, and his condition has worsened due to electric shocks and other forms of torture by the Intelligence and Security -Ettelaat during his detention. Ismayilzade has also suffered a stomach ulcer due to hunger strike. The activist was arrested on April 17 and transferred to the Central Prison of Tabriz to serve the 6-month prison sentence.
