Amid ongoing military tensions involving the United States, Israel, and Iran, concerns are rising over the reported treatment of political prisoners in several Iranian detention facilities.
According to reports shared by families and activists, a number of political prisoners have been transferred to maximum-security units in different prisons, including Evin Prison.
Among those reportedly affected are South Azerbaijani political prisoners such as Yursuh Mehralibaglu, Abbas Lisani, Tahir Nagavi, and Abdulaziz Azimi.
Families of detainees have expressed serious concern about prison conditions. Reports indicate that access to hot water has been cut off, electricity is limited or unavailable, and prisoners are allegedly required to follow strict confinement schedules, including going to sleep shortly after sunset.
Additionally, detainees are reportedly receiving minimal food rations, described as a single daily meal consisting of a boiled potato. Relatives say these conditions may pose risks to the health and well-being of those held in custody.

The situation has heightened anxiety among families, who are calling for attention to the prisoners’ conditions and safety.
Authorities in Iran have not publicly commented on these specific claims.
