IRAN’S COURT SENTENCES 11 ACTIVISTS

Iran’s Islamic court has sentenced 11 Azerbaijani civil right activist to 1 year in prison and 74 lashes each.
Majid Naghizadeh, Farzad Heidari, Amir Karimi, Ali Rashidi, Rasul Mahammadi, Karim Huseinzadeh, Mehdi Shirzad, Hadi Huseinzadeh, Shahin Shirnajad, Ismail Dehqani, Hasan Jamali and Majid Jafarzadeh have been convicted of “public disturbance and breach of peace” under iran’s Islamic criminal code and sentenced to 1 year prison and 74 lashes.
The judgment is issued by 112th Criminal Court of Tabriz. The convicted activist were arrested in the Sahand Stadium of Tabriz, South Azerbaijan while protesting “Fetileh” the openly racist show against Turks and triggered massive protest across South Azerbaijan.
