A well-known doctor in Tabriz has been arrested after being severely beaten.Dr. Shamsi Abbasalizadeh, a gynecologist and lecturer at Tabriz University of Medical Sciences, was beaten by Iran’s security forces during the recent protests. According to reports, she suffered a brain injury as a result of the blows and was later taken to an unknown location and detained.Information about the incident was shared on the platform “X” by southern Azerbaijani lawyer and human rights activist Qasim Badi. No official information has been released regarding the doctor’s place of detention or her current condition.
