IRAN’S CENTRAL GOVERNMENT ORDERS RE-INSTALLATION OF SYMBOL OF RACISM IN SALMAS

The Ministry of Internal Affairs summoned the mayor and governor of the city of Salmas, South Azerbaijan to Tehran. Both the mayer and the governor received warnings from the minister of internal affairs in-person concerning the removal of the racist poet, Ferdowsi’s sculpture from the city’s main square.
Minister of Internal Affair also issued an order commanding the Salmas governor and the mayor to re-install Ferdowsi sculpture at the main squire.
Ferdowsi’s statue was removed from Salmas’ main squire subsequent to the unanimous decision of the city council approximately a month ago. City council’s decision to topple down the statue has caused enormous agitation among Persian fanatics. They commenced a nation-wide campaign demanding the central government to intervene.
The central government was quick to intrude and terminate the Salmas 5_239854-620x330City Council’s order.
Many non-Persian activists claim that the central government’s recent decision has once again established that the extreme racism is explicitly reinforced by the Islamic Republic.
