AZERBAIJANI MP CALLS FOR EQUALIZATION OF TURKS TO PERS IN IRAN

Nader Gazipour the member of parliament from the city of URMU, the second capital of South Azerbaijan called the Iranian president Rouhani to appoint 50 percent Turkic ministers into his government. Gazipour who was giving speech in the parliament on July 19 2017, indicated that a half of iran’s population are the Turks and therefore, a half of the president ‘s ministers must be of Turkish origin if he really wishes to represent all population.
Gazipour is a leading member of the Turkic Fraction in Iranian Legislature.
He threatened that should Rouhani choose not to appoint enough Turkic minsters, the Turkic Fraction of the Iranian Parliament would not vote for his government. The Turkic Fraction of Iran’s parliament have over 100 members of parliament.
Mr. Gazipour also called the potential minister of education to start execution of article 15th of Iran’s Constitution and begin teaching Turkish language in schools and universities which is completely banned for the last 4 decades.
