HABIB SASANIAN BRAKES HUNGER STRIKE

Habib Sasanian, the south Azerbaijani political prisoner has terminated his almost 2 months hunger strike as his demands are accepted by the Islamic Revolutionary Tribunal. He demanded to be released at least temporarily on bail which has been granted by the court.
According to Mr. Sasanian’s relatives the court issued a bail bond on the political activist; however, he has not been released as of yet. It is feared that the court may have deceived Mr. Sasanian to stop his hunger strike.
Sasanian was arrested on May 15 of 2016 along with Yunis Rəhimi, İsmail Afkhami, Babak Avand, Həmid Saqafi və Mehdi Cavadzada and charged with establishment of illegal group GAMO- The Liberation Army of South Azerbaijan– to destabilize the country.
