SOUTH AZERBAIJANI PRISONERS EXILED TO OTHER “CORRECTIONAL” FACILITIES

Said Matinpur and Ayat Mehraibegli, the two prominent south Azerbaijani human rights activist are exiled to other prisons.

Last week Ayat Mehralibegli also known as Yurush was re-exiled  to Tabriz Prison. He was being held in his hometown Julfa’s Prison. Reportedly, the Security Council of the Province of East Azerbaijan ordered his relocation. prominent South Azerbaijani minority rights advocate has been relocated from Tehran’s Evin Prison to the Zengan Prison. Matinpur who was accused of “linking to foreign powers” was arrested 5 years ago and sentenced to 8 years incarceration.
