According to the “Qızıl alma” news channel, Ali Çağla was temporarily released on the evening of the same day after several hours of interrogation. At present, there is no precise information regarding the reasons for his detention or whether any criminal case will be initiated against him. During the search, his mobile phone, personal laptop, as well as awards and plaques of appreciation were confiscated and handed over to the Intelligence Department.
It should be noted that Ali Çağla is a member of the Azerbaijan Writers’ Union. He represents the “Kulis.az” website and the “Türküstan” newspaper. In addition, during the 44-day war that led to the liberation of Karabakh by the Azerbaijani army, he, together with Nargiz Ismayilova, compiled and edited a collection of poems and stories titled “Öncə Vətən” (“Homeland First”).
